Today, the main focus in the production of cars is on traffic safety and driving. The stormy electronization of the modern car allowed the introduction of new components and systems to accomplish the above task. A good example of this is the electric power steering.
 The proposed electromechanical power steering works as follows. When the driver turns the steering wheel, a moment occurs on the input shaft, a mismatch between the input and output shafts occurs. The elastic element torsion between them is twisted by an angle proportional to the magnitude of the moment. The magnitude of this angle is determined by the torque sensor. This angle is the task of the engine management system. When the moment on the input shaft exceeds a predetermined minimum moment, the motor control unit generates a power control signal applied to the motor windings to create the required compensating torque on the steering mechanism. The magnitude of the signal on the winding is formed taking into account the signals of the rotor position sensor and the torque sensor on the steering wheel. The control unit receives signals from the speed sensor and the crankshaft speed sensor. As the speed increases, the compensating moment falls.
