Aerodynamic features and design of the car LADA 4x4.

Functionally, the ventilation grille located on the hood is divided into two zones:

a) the air intake zone for the interior heater;

b) the ventilation zone of the engine compartment.

In this regard, the patch is also divided into two zones with countercurrents that do not allow mixing of flows located in the same housing. Accordingly, they function in different ways.

Aerodynamic features of the car. The movement of air currents flowing around the car during its movement plays a decisive role in the design of these linings. The air intake zone is located in the zone of maximum airflow compression (in front of the windshield, against the car's travel), which determines the high filling of the system with air. On the contrary, the discharge zones have a position in the places of maximum discharge (on the side of the cover on the hood and behind on the side plates), due to which the forced exhaustion of the exhaust air to the atmosphere is achieved (ejection process takes place). The design of the plates provides a minimum resistance at the inlet and outlet of the air, which in turn, in combination with a selected cross-section of the inlet and outlet windows, ensures optimal ventilation of the passenger compartment.

Design and functionality. The appearance of the lining was developed in accordance with the overall concept of the LADA 4x4 car design. Therefore, these products fit organically into the exterior of this car, giving it new original features. Plus, these overlays perfectly cope with the protective function, not allowing free penetration of foreign objects, snow and water into the heating system, as when driving the car (the entrance hole is located opposite the turn), and when parking (top cover hood completely covers the grate). If it is necessary to further clean the body, these elements are easily dismantled and installed again, which would not be possible with an all-in-one connection.

Test and operation results:

- ventilation of the passenger compartment with the car at an average speed of 60 km / h has the required values ​​even when the heater fan is off;

- the interior heating is carried out for a shorter period of time and has a more even distribution;

- Absence of excessive fogging of the passenger compartment in damp and snowy weather;

- the value of aerodynamic noise in the rear of the car, especially in the side wind, is significantly reduced.

Materials and components of high quality - ABS - plastic with a protective layer, which prevents burnout and discoloration.

Installation method - the lining on the bonnet is screwed through the ventilation holes, and the lining on the posts have fastenings directly to the body using self-tapping screws for decorative caps (no other method achieves the required reliability and ease of installation).
